The origin of Water Utility Management began in 1970 with the creation of South Atlantic Utilities.
South Atlantic was established to install and operate water systems in areas of Chatham, Bryan, and
Effingham counties where there was no municipal water service. At that time, those counties had no
interest in providing water or wastewater service.
Over the years sister companies Chatham
Water Company, Middle Georgia Water Company, and Coastal Georgia Water Company were established. In
2003 Water Utility Management, LLC was created to serve as a management company for the underlying
companies.
Today Water Utility Management has become the premier water and wastewater company
in Southeast Georgia. It operates 100 water and wastewater facilities in 11 counties serving over
8,500 households. It has numerous projects under construction and in the planning stages. Our size
allows us to provide the highest level of service possible. We are on call 24 hours a day for emergency
repairs. Water Utility Management is headquartered at 621 Stephenson Ave in Savannah. We presently employ
19 people in all facets of service.
We are committed to providing safe, reliable, and economic
service. We value our customers and strive to serve
